Delays come in many forms...

And the cutest one is when your pet bunny is under the car and won't come out.

i bought my kain baju raye already! just a friendly reminder that ramadhan will soon be upon us, and the merry aidilfitri that follows. it seems like thai silk and this other sorta see-through type material(chiffon?) is all the rage this year. i followed my mom to jalan TAR on tuesday to go kain hunting. You have your not so expensive kain stalls, with prices ranging between RM20 to a hundred over for four metres of kain, and on the other hand you have the super duper premier kain shops, selling God knows what type of silks at RM200 A METRE. ni kain nak pakai gi mane?pertabalan raja?

you know, concerning the Altantuya case, i'm not really in a place to comment ke ape, but i was just wondering, does Razak Baginda's family believe he's really innocent, or do they accept that he's done wrong but are looking past that and still love him anyway? i mean, their show of support is tremendous, with the whole t-shirt thing, and showing up in court 100%, talking to and hugging him whenever possible. it just makes you wonder, what would you do if your husband supposedly had an affair with someone and later conspired to have her murdered? it's unimaginable.

Did you know that every member of Queen wrote songs for the band?and that they're the only group in which every member composed more than one chart-topping single. that's aweseome.

Cleo(our cat) craves attention(when she's not being a complete tabby and ignoring us the way high and mighty cats do). she'll miaow and miaow and miaow until we lead her to her food and stand next to her while she eats it. and theo?(our rabbit). aisy, i feel so guilty when it comes to theo. mase mule2 dapat die i was so semangat clean out the cage every evening, get his food ready, chop up carrots or find some kangkung for him to nibble on, and usher him into the cage bile dah petang. but when exam season came along i was knackered by the time i got home that i didn't do all that, i left it to kak nikki, our maid. so now she takes cares of him and calls him Molly no matter how many times we tell her he's a boy, and we named him Theo. so whenever i see theo and pet him i feel guilty. i bet this is how a working parent feels like when they have to go to work and leave the upbringing of the child to the maid. kesian die. tak pasal2 he's perceived as the opposite sex. no matter. he seems happy enough.

i hate it when people take phrases like 'i miss you' for granted. they just toss about those words, even though you know that they have most likely NOT been missing you nor really thinking about you anyway. i know i shouldn't be a big grouch over this and just appreciate the sentiment of the words, but what's pretty words when it's insincere? don't say you miss me if you don't.

i went on the G-Force again. the guy at the kiosk suggested i may be addicted to it, which could be true, i guess. adrenaline rush.

my prayers to have daim cake were answered, shared a slice with mom today. ikea is really nice and all, but it's so commercial. you have to think twice before buying the blue mugs or the wooden frames from there because everyone already has them. but still. i have to concede that their showrooms make a nice grownup play area.

i'm going to have to start pulling myself together for the new semester. Ya Allah, please give me strength.

she's a brick and i'm drowning slowly,
Off the coast and i'm heading nowhere,
she's a brick and i'm drowning slowly.

ateqs. i have that nagging question too. once.how come we know our religion is the right one when everyone claims theirs are right.
this is when im in highschool, when i'm in this complacent environment where everyones a muslim.

but in sunway, ah. people ask questions.why u wear a hijab? (while wearing a ludicrous
look).why u starve urself for a month?(with a pity look)and they wont understand the whole maksiat-berdosa-masok neraka thing, so i had to search for answers in their point of view so that they understand and also, at that point point trying to prove that islam is not a punishing religion.and it opened my eyes too, these answers i found.

how does these doubts go away,? well it started with the most subtle signs. first,i find the lifestyle and the ideals of religionless sunway people superficial.i felt worthless and i was suffocating (rimas tau) because these, these.. i dunno what you call it engulfes me and i'm desperate to break out.so , the most natural thing is turn to God.
everything falls in to place. the peace, the assurance, the purpose of living seems very clear.

thats when i knew.

things get more clearer after that.
i can sum islam as this, its very, very perfect and its a way of life.

that makes it apart from others. others, regard their religion, as well, just religion. thats why they can just drift and convert in and out without bother.

islam, i can gather,ah, its a way of life, all we do have its won guidelines in islam. we eat, bace bismillah, and then makan bile lapar and benti sbm kenyang. makan makanan halal, yg disembelih. see? its akin to perfect how-to-lead-a perfect-life-guidebook.
the guide is too flawless. too perfect, too detailed. makes too much sense. too sensible.its unthinkable a human being with flaws would have created this

this wonderful quality of being too-good-to-be-perfect had made me rest my case.

islam is the one baby.

i hope u find that defining experience when everything felt right with it.

Nani,silap post la hang comment!hehe.

okay, now that i've got that out of the way.

1.Your delay is the cutest!!I suggested to bela a rabbit once to my mum.She says she had enough with the hamster stint back when I was a child.U see, at that time I suggested to bela hamster and she obliged.hehe.The hamsters multiplied so rapidly that it became out of control.and they stink.haha

2.You've bought kain baju raya??Wow.Talk about making early preparations. At least you can avoid the stampede of last-minute shopping. And raya just brings tears to my eyes this year.hehe

3.I agree. We shouldn't just toss around significant words when we don't mean it.It gets so meaningless and common that it loses the value its supposed to convey in the first place.

4.Good luck with your new sem!!May it be better than the previous one.

One more thing!!

I just love ikea designs. They're very cool and simple and modern and flashy and uber-fabulous.People also are keen of using 'uber' nowadays.

Is that german like "achtung"?

Anyways,mum is crazy over ikea.

haha, miss salmi would proclaim ur comment a 'NANI's MOMENT!!!'.

anyway, i will comment on ur comment in the proper post, yah?

aijud:i used to have a hamster too!tapi dieorang tak friendly la. i mean, they eat, they're cute when they run around, but they're not exactly affectionate. and yeah, they DO stink, heh. tell ur mom rabbits are cool! and, worse comes to worst, kalau die dah tak tahan nak jage, she can always turn the bunny into satay arnab. HAHAHAHA!

ok, maybe that was too evil a joke for even my standards :P

raye is not that as far off as u think. september dah start puase, and it's already july now. oh,oh! ur celebrating raye there, forgot bout that. well, maybe syahdu sket, but i'm sure u'll have loads of fun raya-ing with the muslim community there. and chop, are u gonna be part of those students who send in pictures of themselves to berita harian or utusan under the salam aidilfitri dari perantauan?that would be cool, hee :)

people used to say 'mondo' in the early 90s, maybe 'uber' is the trend now. i wiki-ed it, and ur right, it IS german.

u know, if i ever got the chance to go to sweden, it would be to see the ikea superstore they have there.

i like going to ikea on weekends, that way u can see all the 'serious shoppers', yang jenis bawak measuring tape to ukur shelves or cabinets or whatnot to see if it would fit at home, haha!

mostlyepiphanies said...

zomg!!!My mum so does that ukur2 tengok muat ke tak thing!!She doesn't bring the measuring tape and all but she does know all the dimensions and ukuran setiap ceruk dapur!Hehe.

Okay now I miss mom.
